Protein-Packed Family Chili

Ingredients

lb
ground beef
(try Mesa Beef)
2
garlic cloves
diced
1/4
yellow onion
diced
1
can
Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles
drained
1
can
chili beans
1
can
black beans
drained
1
tbsp
chili powder
1
tsp
ground cumin
(or less if too spicy)
Instructions
Brown Ground beef. Set aside.
In cast iron or coated cast iron pot over low heat, add olive oil, onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
Add browned Mesa Beef ground beef, Rotel tomatoes with chiles, chili beans, black beans.
Add cumin and chili powder. Stir.
Continue to heat on low until it begins to boil, stirring occasionally.
Notes
Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream.
Optional: serve over Fritos or cooled rice.
Serves 4, double for left overs.
