
Protein-Packed Family Chili

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (try Mesa Beef)
- 2 garlic cloves diced
- 1/4 yellow onion diced
- 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles drained
- 1 can chili beans
- 1 can black beans drained
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin (or less if too spicy)
Instructions
- Brown Ground beef. Set aside.
- In cast iron or coated cast iron pot over low heat, add olive oil, onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Add browned Mesa Beef ground beef, Rotel tomatoes with chiles, chili beans, black beans.
- Add cumin and chili powder. Stir.
- Continue to heat on low until it begins to boil, stirring occasionally.
Notes
Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream.
Optional: serve over Fritos or cooled rice.
