
Slow Cooker Ham
Ingredients
- 1 Ham
- 1-20 oz can pineapple chunks (in pineapple juice)
- 1/4 cup real maple syrup
Instructions
- Place ham, cut side down, into slow cooker.
- Pour pineapple with juice and maple syrup over ham. Cover with lid.
- Heat on high for 25 minutes per pound until ham reaches 145 degrees F.
- Remove ham from slow cooker.
- Rest, Slice & Serve. *Be sure that ham will fit into your slow cooker.
Notes
Spiral sliced hams will come up to temperature faster than bone-in hams.
Use meat thermometer to test for doneness. This is key!
This is not an all day, 8 hours in slow cooker recipe (you don’t want to shred your ham). Only bring it up to temperature (145 degrees). Substitutes for recipe if you don’t have maple syrup and pineapple. No worries! Water and brown sugar will get the job done! .
