Coffee Rub Oven Brisket

Ingredients

  • sprinkle salt
  • 5 lb brisket
  • 2 tbsp ground coffee
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Coffee Rub Oven Brisket

Main Course

Ingredients

  • sprinkle salt
  • 5 lb brisket
  • 2 tbsp ground coffee
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Sprinkle both sides with kosher salt
  • Spread the rub all over the brisket
  • Place beef in a pan with water or broth (don’t want your brisket to cook dry)
  • Cover tightly with foil
  • Set pan on top of a baking sheet lined with foil to catch possible overflow of juices
  • Bake in the oven at 250 degrees for 10-12 hours
